The RNIB have announced that they are recalling the wireless charging pads for the RNIB Accord USB Player.

In a letter to customers who bought the product, the charity says:

“The wireless charging pad may in some instances overheat and cause a fire.

At RNIB the safety of our customers is of the utmost importance. As such, customers are requested to stop using the wireless charging pad immediately. You don’t need to do anything for the time being. We’ll send you a replacement within the next three weeks. We will also send you a stamped addressed envelope so you can return the original charging pad. It is important that you return the charging pad as this ensures that no-one else can use it and put themselves at risk.
