Product Recall: Wireless Charger for RNIB Accord Player Recalled
The RNIB have announced that they are recalling the wireless charging pads for the RNIB Accord USB Player.
In a letter to customers who bought the product, the charity says:
“The wireless charging pad may in some instances overheat and cause a fire.
At RNIB the safety of our customers is of the utmost importance. As such, customers are requested to stop using the wireless charging pad immediately. You don’t need to do anything for the time being. We’ll send you a replacement within the next three weeks. We will also send you a stamped addressed envelope so you can return the original charging pad. It is important that you return the charging pad as this ensures that no-one else can use it and put themselves at risk. If you have given the charging pad to someone else, please notify them of this notice.
You can still enjoy your RNIB Accord Player by charging it using the USB C port on the top of the device.
We thank you for your cooperation and apologise for any inconvenience. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us on 01733 375153 or [email protected].”
