About Double Tap
Double Tap is the show where blind people talk tech! If you’re blind or partially sighted and have an interest in technology, this is the show for you. Everyone is welcome no matter how old you are or how much or how little experience you have with technology. Each week the team will help you better understand how technology can help your everyday life, even if you have little or no sight.
STEVEN SCOTT
Steven is the creator and lead host of Double Tap. Since starting out in broadcasting professionally in 1999, he has worked in various commercial radio stations in the UK, and later moved into the charity sector and helped the country's biggest sight loss charity RNIB get its own radio station off the ground.
SHAUN PREECE
Shaun is the lead co-host of Double Tap and has been in technology reporting and broadcasting for many years, starting his broadcasting career at Accessible Media way before Double Tap was born.
LAURA KIRKER
Laura Kirker is the voice of Double Tap's inbox. She reads emails out loud with precision, timing, and just enough emphasis to make everyone suddenly realize they should have read them first. She delivers subject lines like announcements and turns bullet points into moments of quiet reflection. No message is too long, too detailed, or too awkward to be read verbatim. At Double Tap, if you missed the email, Laura has already covered it.
MR. F
Mr. F is the boss at AMI and runs the place with a calm intensity that suggests he already knows the answer before the question is finished. He speaks plainly, dislikes surprises, and has a near-mystical ability to appear exactly when a deadline is slipping. Meetings are short, expectations are clear, and outcomes matter more than explanations. Mr. F values experience, notices everything, and measures success by whether the job is done, on time, and without drama. Around AMI, his name is rarely raised in volume, only in awareness.
