New Accessibility Updates To Zoom Audio Recorders

Zoom has rolled out some new updates for their H1Essential, H4Essential and H6Essentials audio recorders for those who use the new built in Voice Guidance accessibility feature.

The company has added two new features which should assist blind users better:

  • 1. A shortcut function to switch on/off the guide sound has been added. (All units)
  • 2. Track on/off sounds will be output when track buttons are pressed. (H4essential and H6essential)

To update the firmware, which they say is not an accessible process, they have created some instructional YouTube videos to guide users through the process.
