Inclusive Africa: Refiloehape “Fifi” Sesinyi On Changing Education in Lesotho Through Advocacy
From the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, Refiloehape Sesinyi—known as Fifi—joins the Inclusive Africa Conference as a panelist on education and youth leadership. Drawing from personal experience, she shares the stark realities faced by students with disabilities in Lesotho: limited school resources, gender-based violence, and exclusionary church policies that deny access to pregnant students.
Fifi explains how she overcame systemic barriers to complete university, graduate with honors, and represent her country globally. Technology, mentorship, and international fellowships have played a vital role in her journey. She now champions the importance of support systems, accessible education, and empowering the next generation of disabled leaders.
