The device, now officially named Rover, is set to begin pre-order rollouts in 2026 across the US, UK, and Canada.

Glidance’s latest funding milestone highlights growing confidence in its AI and robotics-driven mobility solution designed to replace or supplement traditional canes and guide dogs. The $4M investment, coming from high-profile backers including former OpenAI and SpaceX executives, signals not only financial support but also strategic connections that could shape the company’s future.

The 2026 rollout will begin in the US, UK, and Canada, with European expansion temporarily delayed to ensure a controlled, high-quality launch. Early beta testing begins in Seattle, focusing on critical navigation features like sidewalk detection and street crossings.
