Google’s Accessibility Discovery Centers Expanding Accessibility Education and Awareness

Google’s Accessibility Discovery Centers Expanding Accessibility Education and Awareness. Google’s head of accessibility and disability inclusion, Christopher Patton, discusses the Accessibility Discovery Centers (ADCs) and their impact on making products more accessible. The ADCs started internally to educate Google employees about accessibility and have now expanded to external visitors. The London ADC has been successful in attracting a diverse range of visitors, including government officials, school children, charities, and businesses. The ADCs provide a space for collaboration and co-design with the disability community, resulting in new products and improvements to existing ones. The conversation also highlights the importance of communication and collaboration among accessibility leaders from different companies.
