Orcam Moves Away From Visual Aids Market

OrCam, the company behind products such as the MyEye Pro and the OrCam Read, is no longer in the visual aids market.

They are instead moving their focus away to other products for deaf and hard of hearing people.

That includes a new product called Hear, which they’ve been working on for some time.

The decision has come after a number of layoffs at the company, starting during 2022.

The company itself citing new large language models that are coming in to making their visual aids business redundant.

Steven Scott has been speaking to former Business Development & Sales Manager Anat Nulman to get her reaction to the news.
