Making Technology More Accessible and Inclusive – Accessibility at Intel.
In this video from Access Tech Live, we are joined by Intel’s Director of #accessibility Darryl Adams. Intel’s Omnibridge technology allows deaf individuals to communicate in real time-using sign language and AI. The technology uses computer vision to decipher sign language and convert it into written text, and vice versa. Intel’s Director of Accessibility, Darrell Adams, explains that the technology was developed by a deaf engineer at Intel who wanted to solve the communication barrier between the deaf and hearing communities. The company is also focused on making technology more accessible and inclusive for all users, to adopt fully inclusive design practices by 2030. Intel emphasizes the importance of collaboration and standardization across the industry to create consistent and usable accessibility solutions.
