GTA 6 Trailer Drops: Will The Game Be Accessible For Disabled Gamers?
The release of the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer has sent waves of excitement across the gaming community. This much-anticipated reveal marks a significant milestone in the history of one of the most iconic and enduring video game franchises.
Rockstar Games, the developer behind the series, has a reputation for setting the bar high in terms of open-world gameplay, storytelling, and immersive experiences. The GTA series has not only defined a genre but has also been a mirror reflecting and sometimes satirising modern culture.
The launch of the trailer was earlier than even the company itself had expected, after a leak happened online.
However, while the gaming community at large are excited about the news, can the disability gaming community get quite as hyped up? Despite massive advances in accessibility in gaming, it remains unclear what Rockstar Games will offer, if anything, to disabled players upon GTA 6’s release.
Steve Saylor is known online as the Blind Gamer, and told Steven Scott in an interview coming soon to Double Tap that he is hopeful that the game will have some form of accessibility built in.
