In a recent video demonstration, a user showcased the indoor navigation feature in the Seeing AI app. The app, designed for visually impaired individuals, uses artificial intelligence to provide real-time assistance and information. In the video, the user walks through the steps of creating a new route within the app. They start by selecting the "indoor navigation" option from the help menu. Next, they add a new route from their current room to the kitchen. To create the route, the user must slowly turn in a circle while tilting their phone up and down to capture the surrounding area. Once the starting point is captured, the user enters a descriptive name for the route and continues to the destination. As they walk through their home, the app provides audio guidance, describing the user's surroundings and directing them to the kitchen. The indoor navigation feature in Seeing AI has the potential to greatly improve the independence and mobility of visually impaired individuals, allowing them to navigate unfamiliar environments with ease.
