As Captain Steven Scott is off wreaking havoc to buffets across the Seven Seas, it’s down to Marc Aflalo and Shaun Preece to take the helm of the good ship Double Tap Canada this week.

After the rather forgettable Apple event last week, it seems that the DTC team are more than a little impressed with the products Microsoft has unveiled at their Surface event. Top of the wish list is the new Surface Laptop Studio. With a fantastic looking design and powerful tech specifications, could this be the must have laptop of the year? Also, there is an update to the popular Surface Pro range with the Surface Pro 8. Again, Microsoft has delivered on the sleek design and powerful hardware. Is this the laptop replacement the iPad wants to be? Speaking of which, can the new Surface Go stand up against the new iPad Mini 6?

There’s also the much-anticipated, Android powered, dual screen phone, the Surface Duo 2. With an updated processor and the addition of 3 rear cameras, Marc can’t wait to get his hands on one. And staying with ARM powered devices, Microsoft also unveiled the new Surface Pro X. Running Windows 11 for ARM and with the ability to run legacy x86 and x64 software in emulation, will we finally see a Windows ARM device that average consumers will want?
